The „Swiss Animal Liberation Agenda“ intends to provide a plattform for people and groups who are or want to be active in animal rights / liberation. Our aim is to create a calendar with all the animal rights / liberation activities in Switzerland, where you can find information and details on planned actions you may wish to join.

Finally the SALA collective managed to emancipate itself from myspace!

We now present a beautiful and simple webpage in four languages, to improve the networking between activists in the area of Switzerland. This site wants to be a tool which can be used by everyone who wants to be active joining the fight for an egalitarian world without animal exploitation.

Wherever useful and possible texts will be translated into English, German, French and Italian.

The myspace page will still exist to give the link to the SALA homepage, but it will not be updated, the mailing list will remain as well.

The SALA collective consists of several activists all over Switzerland. The fact that we run this website doesn't mean that we run the Swiss animal liberation movement. You are the movement! We encourage groups and people to organize their own actions and events and invite all antispeciesist groups or people to inform us about any initiatives they know about or are organising in Switzerland so we can publish them on our website.

The SALA website will provide you with:

- Information about ongoing activities: The calendar is meant to publish all public animal liberation activities in Switzerland. Please let us know if you are organising something you want to be made public.

- Information about running campaigns: Here you find some information about different animal rights campaigns, regional as well as global.

- News: We try to publish all news about global animal liberation activism.

- Material: Because we know it's not always easy to have the right information material for actions, we try to help through providing flyers, posters and other stuff for download. Also you can send us your material for upload. We try to collect information material on all animal liberation topics.

- Past action reports: Reports and pictures from past actions.

Please also take a close look at the Animal Liberation Hallmarks (www.al-hallmarks.net), which contain what we consider the basics for animal liberation activism. Although we focus our activism on animal liberation issues, we keep in mind that animal liberation is only part of a bigger struggle, namely liberation of (human and non-human) animals and earth. We do not want to tolerate any kind of discriminating, oppressive, (...) ideology or acting.

kommunistin: inwiefern sollte dich der verzicht auf den konsum tierlicher produkte daran hindern, für menschen zu kämpfen?
die tierbefreiungsbewegung ist teil einer emanzipatorischen bewegung aller. ihre herrschaftkritik hört nicht beim menschen auf, sondern hinterfrägt auch die herrschaft der menschen über die nicht-menschlichen tiere. aber eine so konsequente haltung ist halt manchen sogenannt politischen menschen zu anstrengend, denn dann müssten sie ja ihre eigenen praktiken hinterfragen, was?

mal abgesehen davon, dass ewig und wahrheit eine logische verdopplung ist, hat die wissenschaft schon so einiges herausgefunden, das für immer und ewig richtig ist = wahr. wäre ganz schön schwierig, eine rakete auf den mond zu schiessen oder einen wolkenkratzer zu bauen, wenn es kein sicheres wissen über die naturgesetze gäbe. aber gewissen persönchen rechtfertigen ihre ignoranz halt mit allen mitteln...
