After Totò Cuffaro’s re-election, many Sicilian people are going to face a difficult situation, trying to defend the area from the oil industrialization. In fact, this would be against the efforts which have been done to make Sicily develop in a ecological way.

For this reason, the case of oil well drilling in Val di Noto is emblematic.

During 2004 Regione Sicilia, through its Industry Councillor Marina Noè, allowed 4 important oil industries ( the American Panther Corporation and 3 Italian industries: ENI, SARCIS and EDISON) to do oil wells in Sicily, in the area of Val di Noto, well known for having 10 sites belonging to the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

This documentary film wants to tell what have been happening in the last 2 years.
2 years of struggles.
Because we strongly want this Heritage to be of everyone, not just of few…
