Am Samstag dem 3. September 2005 haben wir das Länderspiel Schweiz gegen Israel im Basler St. Jakob-Stadion für eine Aktion mit Transparenten genutzt. In der **. Minute sind vier Leute mit zwei Transparenten mit der Aufschrift "Free Palestine - Boycott Apartheid" auf das Spielfeld gerannt, um so auf die Situation der PalästinenserInnen aufmerksam zu machen: Seit Jahrzehnten werden die PalästinenserInnen von Israels Regierung, Polizei und Militär unterdrückt, vertrieben, gefoltert und getötet. Die gesamte Weltöffentlichkeit schaut bei diesen Verbrechen meist untätig zu. Doch nicht nur das: So pflegt unter anderem die Schweiz mit Israel nicht nur eine jetzt wieder ausgebaute Rüstungszusammenarbeit, sondern sie unterstützt die Verbrechen des Israelischen Staates auch mit einem regen wirtschaftlichen Austausch. Darum können verschiedene Israelische Produkte, vor allem Früchte und Gemüse, in Schweizer Supermärkten erstanden werden.
Mit dieser Aktion wollen wir unsere Solidarität mit dem Kampf der PalästinenserInnen zum Ausdruck bringen und zum Boykott von Israelischen Produkten aufrufen, da die wirtschaftlichen Beziehungen mit dem Ausland für Israel eine wichtige Einnahmequelle darstellen, um die Verbrechen gegen die PalästinenserInnen fortführen zu können.
Mit grosser Wut betrachten wir die neuesten Entwicklungen im Nahen Osten: So soll uns vorgemacht werden, dass Israel einlenkt, die Siedlungen in Gaza abbaut und sich aus den palästinensischen Gebieten zurückzieht. In Wirklichkeit gibt der israelische Staat jedoch wenige unwichtige Gebiete in Gaza auf, um die viel wichtigeren und ertragsreicheren Siedlungen im Westjordanland, das auch Gebiet der PalästineserInnen ist, zu zementieren. Diese sind vor allem im Kampf um die fruchtbaren Anbaugebiete und das Wasser in dieser Region von grosser Bedeutung. So sollen die PalästinenserInnen weiterhin in totaler Abhängigkeit von Israel gehalten werden, um sie kontrollieren und unterdrücken zu können.
Wir sind nicht bereit, die Apartheidspolitik des Staates Israel und die Unterstützung dieser Politik vom Schweizer Staat hinzunehmen und kämpfen zusammen mit den PalästinenserInnen, bis Palästina frei und die Welt ein Ort ohne Ausbeutung und Unterdrückung ist!

On Saturday the 3rd of September 2005 we used the qualification game Switzerland against Israel in the St. Jakobstadion of Basel for an action with banners. In the **th minute four people with two banners saying "Free Palestine - Boycott Israel" ran onto the playground to draw attention to the situation of the Palestinians. For decades the palestinian people are suppressed, chased away, tortured an killed by the government , the police and the military of Israel. The whole world mostly just watches these crimes. But not only this: States like Switzerland not only work together with the Israeli military but also have a great economical exchange with the state of Israel and support like this those crimes. That's why Israeli products, mostly vegetables and fruits, can be bought in swiss supermarkets. With this action we want to show our solidarity with the struggle of the Palestinians and to call for a boycott of Israeli products, because the economical relations with foreign states are an important source of money for the state of Israel to continue the crimes against the Palestinians.
With a great anger we watch the newest development in the Middle East: the state of Israel wants us to believe that they give in, they give up the settlements in Gaza and withdraw from Palestinian territory. The truth is that the state of Israel only gives up some less important territories in Gaza to be able to keep the way more important settlements in the westjordanland, which is also Palestinian territory. Those territories are more important because of the struggle for fertile land and water in this region. Like this the palestian people should be kept in dependency of Israel and stay controllable.
We are not willing to accept the politics of apartheid of the state of Israel and the support of these politics by the Swiss government and we fight together with the Palestinian people until Palestine is free and the world is a place without exploitation and oppression!

hey
actully im from palestine i just watched the matrch live and i was so glad when i saw the guys with the panners for the first moment i got a mix of feelings but i found my self feel strong because i found that this world will never keep silent and there is some people who decided to break the silence and that wonderfull its show a strong solidarity with those who living behind ghetos btween fences and walls under a miserable conditions ,its also give the palestinians the feeling that the end of the occupation and the aparthied is coming soon and there is no occupation forever ....

Auch ich bin der Meinung, dass Israels Politik nicht über alle Zweifel erhaben ist. Die Aktion war aber mehr als ärgerlich und sehr kontraproduktiv. Ich war im Stadion und die Missstimmung auf den Rängen war zu keinem Augenblick während des Spiels so gross, wie als die Feldstürmer ihren Auftritt hatten. Der Mob wurde aggressiv, die Aktivisten wären wohl von ein paar aufgebrachten Fans gelyncht worden, hätten sie das Stadion nicht gefesselt und unter dem Schutz von ein paar Verantwortlichen verlassen können. Solche Aktionen haben im Sport einfach überhaupt nichts verloren. Warum nicht ein Stand vor dem Joggeli? Flugblätter meinetwegen. Ich fand die Aktion jedenfalls primitiv und dämlich. Und war wohl nicht der einzige. Man verspielt auch viel Sympathien so. |
